Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “Medi1 TV SA” by the “National Broadcasting and Television Company SA”, through the acquisition of 100% of its share capital and associated voting rights

In accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 adopted for its implementation as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “operation summary” below, containing information provided by the parties.

NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES

The Competition Council received notification of a concentration operation under which the “National Broadcasting and Television Company” (SNRT SA) intends to acquire 100% of the share capital and voting rights of the company “Medi1 TV SA”.

“SNRT SA” is a Moroccan joint-stock company with a share capital of 840,000,000 dirhams, headquartered at 1, rue El Brihi, Rabat, registered with the Rabat Trade Register under number 60485.

“Medi1 TV SA” is a Moroccan joint-stock company with a share capital of 96,681,800 dirhams, headquartered at Zone Franche de Tanger, Lot 31BP, 2397 Tanger, registered with the Tanger Trade Register under number 18671.

Both companies are active in the audiovisual sector.
