The Competition Council is an independent institution responsible, within the framework of ensuring free and fair competition, for guaranteeing transparency and fairness in economic relations. Its mission includes, in particular, analyzing and regulating competition in markets, monitoring anti-competitive practices, unfair commercial practices, as well as merger operations and monopoly situations.

The Competition Council’s Ethics Charter aims to recall the ethical and professional obligations—both general and specific—that reflect the institution’s independence and prerogatives, as set out by the applicable legislation. It is intended to provide the Council’s members with a code of good conduct in this regard.
