Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the exclusive control acquisition, through a lease management contract, of the business of the company “Les Moulins de Zerhoun SA” by the company “Forafric Maroc SA” through its subsidiary “Minoterie Epidor SA”

In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 adopted for its implementation as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “operation summary” below, containing the information provided by the parties.

NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES

The Competition Council received a notification of an economic concentration operation, which consists of the exclusive control acquisition, through a lease management contract, of the business of the company “Les Moulins de Zerhoun SA” by the company “Forafric Maroc SA” through its subsidiary “Minoterie Epidor SA”.

“Forafric Maroc SA” is a Moroccan joint-stock company, with its registered office at 29, Rue Bab Mansour, 3rd floor, Espace porte d’Anfa, Casablanca. The company operates in the milling industry sector through the processing and marketing of cereal-based products.

“Minoterie Epidor SA” is a Moroccan joint-stock company, with its registered office at Avenue Abdelkarim El Khattabi, Immeuble Ben Moussa El Gouache, 2nd floor, Fes. It is fully owned by “Forafric Maroc SA”.

“Les Moulins de Zerhoun SA” is a Moroccan joint-stock company, with its registered office at Quartier Sidi Said B.P 2021, El Ismailia Meknes. It is active in the industrial milling sector in both the processing of soft wheat and durum wheat.
