Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project related to the merger between the company “Akzo Nobel N.V.” and the company “Axalta Coating Systems Ltd.”

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 concerning the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 3:00 pm, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigation services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on July 26, 2021.

The Permanent Commission then made decisions to authorize the following economic concentration operations:

        • The acquisition by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of a 12.10% stake in the share capital and voting rights of Holmarcom Insurance Activities (HIA);
        • The exclusive control by Inetum Holding Maroc SA of three companies HLI Services, HLI Consulting Tunisia, and Hubert Loison Informatique Maroc;
        • The exclusive control by Intelcia Group SA of Unisono Solutions Group SL and its subsidiaries;
        • The exclusive control by Rayon des sociétés Techniques Science Santé (T2S), IM Alliance, and Binarios;
        • The acquisition by the Moroccan Distribution Company of Equipment of a 25% stake in the share capital and voting rights of Movicortes du Maroc;
        • The acquisition by Software Solutions Investments sarl of joint control of Targa Telematics.
