Appointed on March 22, 2021, by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Competition Council, Mr. Ahmed Rahhou was previously, ambassador, head of the diplomatic mission of Morocco to the European Union appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in February 2019. Previously, he held the position of Chairman and CEO of CIH Bank also appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to this position in October 2009. Concurrently with this mission, he was a member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council as an expert appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in 2011. He also managed, between 2003 and 2009, the presidency and general management of Lesieur Cristal company. Before this date, Mr. Ahmed Rahhou had a career in the banking world at Credit du Maroc where he held various positions to be, before his departure, Deputy General Manager, member of the management board of this bank. He also had a stint in the world of organizational and strategic consulting with a French firm in the 80s.
The beginning of his career was at Royal Air Maroc where he worked in the 80s in the IT department after finishing his studies in Paris at the Ecole Polytechnique and then at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications
