Press release regarding the meeting of the Competition Council Section – held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024

In accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of the internal regulations of the Competition Council, the Council Section held a meeting on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 am, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hassan Abouabdelmajid, Vice-President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigative services.

The Section then made decisions to authorize the following economic concentration operations:

• Exclusive acquisition of the company « Instructure Holdings Inc » by the company « Icon Parent Inc »;
• Joint control acquisition of the companies « Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene S.A.E. » and « Egyptian Drilling Company S.A.E. », and exclusive control of the company « Egyptian Ethylene And Derivatives Company (Ethydco) S.A.E. » by the company « Alpha Oryx III Limited ».
