Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the exclusive takeover by the company “Substipharm SAS” of the assets and rights related to the pharmaceutical products “Rilutek” and “Sabril” held by the company “Sanofi SA”

In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 issued for its implementation, as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “summary of the operation” below, containing the information provided by the parties.

The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the exclusive takeover by the company “Substipharm SAS” of the assets and rights related to the pharmaceutical products “Rilutek” and “Sabril” held by the company “Sanofi SA”.

“Substipharm SAS” is a simplified joint-stock company under French law, with its registered office at 24, rue Erlanger, 75016 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 480 064 385. “Substipharm SAS” is active in the marketing of pharmaceutical and biological products.

“Sanofi SA” is a French public limited company, with its registered office at 46, avenue de la Grande Armée, 75017 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 395 030 844. “Sanofi SA” is engaged in research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of health solutions.
