NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES

The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation consisting of the merger of two independent companies, ‘Hino Motors Ltd’ and ‘Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation,’ into a new holding company (HoldCo) named ‘AIB, Ltd.’

‘Hino Motors Ltd’ is a Japanese company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, headquartered at 1-1 Hinodai 3-chome, Hino-shi, Tokyo, Japan, registered under number 8-0134-0100-0626. Globally, Hino specializes in the manufacture and marketing of automotive vehicles (trucks, buses), spare parts, and industrial engines.

‘Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation’ is a Japanese company, headquartered at 10 Ohkura-cho, Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, Japan. Globally, MFTBC specializes in the development, design, manufacture, and sale of trucks, buses, and industrial engines.

‘AIB, Ltd.’ is a Japanese company, headquartered at 2-12-8 Musashino, Akishima-shi, Tokyo, Japan, registered under number 0128-01-024013. ‘AIB, Ltd.’ is a newly created holding company that, as of the publication date, had no business activities.
