The Competition Council held the fifth ordinary session of its plenary formation on Thursday, 27 February 2020, at its headquarters in Rabat.
This session was devoted to the review and adoption of the guidelines of the annual report for the fiscal year 2019, which the Council establishes each year, before June 30, and which the President of the Council « submits to His Majesty the King and addresses to the Head of Government, and presents to the Chambers of Parliament », in accordance with articles 23 and 24 of Law No. 20.13 relating to the Competition Council.
During this session, the General Rapporteur of the Competition Council informed the members of the Council on the progress of the referrals concerning the competition situation in the sectors of liquid fuels and building paint, and the study of the project related to the economic concentration project concerning internet applications for connecting drivers and users involving the companies “Uber” and “Careem”.
Finally, it should be noted that the permanent commission of the Competition Council proceeded, at the opening of its work, to the approval of the minutes of the fourth ordinary session of its plenary formation held on December 26, 2019
