Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project related to the merger between the company “Akzo Nobel N.V.” and the company “Axalta Coating Systems Ltd.”

The Permanent Commission of the Competition Council held its meeting, via videoconference, on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 9:30 a.m., under the chairmanship of Mr. Driss Guerraoui, President of the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, the permanent commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on October 26, 2020.

Furthermore, considering the absence of an impact on competition in the relevant markets, the permanent commission made decisions to authorize the following four economic concentration operations:

          1. The direct joint control by the companies “Bonduelle sa”, “Unibel sa” and “Sparkling Partners” of the shares and voting rights of the company “Végéhum” and its subsidiaries and indirectly of the company “Yumi sas”;
          2. The direct and exclusive acquisition by the company “Medi Telecom sa” of 99.99% of the shares and voting rights of the company “Etix Everywhere Maroc Sarl”;
          3. The direct and exclusive acquisition by the company “Enel Green Power Morocco Sarl” through the acquisition of 100% of the shares and voting rights of the company “Aferkat Wind Farm Sarl” held by the company “Gaia Project Sarl”;
          4. And the acquisition by the company “AIF Port et Logistis LLP” of 49% of the shares and voting rights of the company “Mass Céréales Al Maghreb”.
