Press release from the Competition Council regarding the concentration project involving the exclusive takeover by the company “Platinum Equity Group”, through its wholly-owned subsidiary “Discovery Energy Holdings”, of the company “Kohler Energy”, through the acquisition of 100% of its shares and related voting rights

In accordance with Article 13 of Law 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 issued for its implementation as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “operation summary” below, containing information provided by the parties.

The Competition Council has received a notification of an economic concentration operation under which the company “Platinum Equity Group” intends to acquire, indirectly through its holding “Discovery Energy Holdings”, the exclusive control of the company “Kohler Energy” through the acquisition of 100% of its shares and related voting rights.

“Platinum Equity Group” specializes in mergers, acquisitions, and operation of companies providing services and solutions to clients in various sectors, including information technology, telecommunications, logistics, metallurgy, industry, and distribution. Platinum Equity Group is headquartered in the United States.

“Kohler Energy” is a manufacturing company specializing in the engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance of motor power plants and energy systems. Kohler Energy is headquartered in the United States.
