NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES
The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the creation of the company “Viatris Inc” through the merger of the company “Mylan NV” and the company “Upjohn Inc” a division of the Pfizer group.
“Mylan NV” is a Dutch public limited company whose main activity is the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products including generic drugs.
“Upjohn Inc” is an American company, established as a targeted division of the Pfizer group, which operated Pfizer’s activities in the field of branded and generic drugs.
“Viatris Inc” is an American company, whose main activity is the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of a variety of drugs and health products for the general public.
