NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES
The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the acquisition by the company “Hapag-Lloyd Aktiengesellschaft” of the exclusive control of the company “ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd” through the acquisition of 100% of its outstanding shares and related voting rights.
“Hapag-Lloyd Aktiengesellschaft” (Hapag-Lloyd) is a German public limited company registered in the Commercial Register of Amtsgericht Hamburg under number HRB 97937, with its registered office at Ballindamm 25, 20095 Hamburg, Germany. It is active in providing global container maritime transport services by regular lines as well as certain complementary services.
“ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd” (ZIM) is a limited liability company active in providing global container maritime transport services by regular lines as well as certain complementary services.
“Hapag-Lloyd” and “ZIM” are both active in Morocco in providing container maritime transport services by regular lines.
