NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES
The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the acquisition by the company “Hikma Mena FZE” of the exclusive control of certain rights and assets held by the company “Takeda Pharmaceutical International AG.”
“Hikma Mena FZE” is a limited liability company based in Dubai, a wholly-owned subsidiary of “Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC,” which manufactures specialized generic and branded pharmaceutical products across North America, the MENA region, North Africa, and Europe.
“Takeda Pharmaceutical International AG” is a Swiss public limited company, a subsidiary of “Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited,” engaged in research, development, and commercialization of innovative drugs in key therapeutic areas such as gastroenterology, oncology, rare diseases, and neuroscience.
