Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the acquisition by the company ‘National Broadcasting and Television Company SA (SNRT) of the exclusive control of the Audiovisual Studies and Productions Company SA (SOREAD)’

In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 issued for its implementation, as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the ‘summary of the operation’ below, containing the information provided by the parties.

NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES

The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the acquisition by the company ‘SNRT SA’ of the exclusive control of the company ‘SOREAD SA’ through the acquisition of 99.99% of the share capital and voting rights associated therewith.

‘SNRT SA’ is a Moroccan joint stock company with a share capital of 1,275,000,000 MAD, headquartered at 1, rue El Brihi, Rabat, and registered with the Rabat Trade Register under number 60485. It is active in the national audiovisual sector.

‘SOREAD SA’ is a Moroccan joint stock company with a share capital of 1,461,307,000 MAD, headquartered at Route de Rabat KM 7.300 Ain Sebaa, Casablanca, and registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under number 51305. It is active in the national audiovisual sector.
