In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 adopted for its implementation, as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the ‘summary of the operation’ below, containing the information provided by the parties.

The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company ‘Olam Agri Holdings Limited’ by the company ‘Saudi Agricultural and Livestock company’.

‘Saudi Agricultural and Livestock company’ (SALIC) is a joint-stock company established in Saudi Arabia, with its registered office at Business Gate, Building 6, 7452 Airport Branch Road, Qurtubah District Ar Riyadh 13244 – 2327, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ‘SALIC’ is an investment company that invests both in Saudi Arabia and abroad in companies active in the fields of agriculture and food product trading. SALIC’s agri-food activities focus on agriculture and sourcing, as well as importing commodities to Saudi Arabia. ‘SALIC’ operates mainly in four countries (Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Canada, and Australia). SALIC is not active in Morocco.

‘Olam Agri Limited’ is a public limited company headquartered at 7, Straits View, #20-01, Marina One East Tower, Singapore 018936. ‘Olam Agri Limited’ primarily operates as a trader and processor of agricultural products, and is active throughout the value chain including agriculture, production, marketing, processing, and distribution. ‘Olam Agri Limited’ is active in Morocco.
