Press Release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “Pentland Chaussures Limited” by “MF Brands Group”, a subsidiary of the company “Maus Frères SA”, through the acquisition of the remaining 50% of its share capital and related voting rights

In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 issued for its implementation, as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “operation summary” below, containing information provided by the parties.

The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “Pentland Chaussures Limited” by “MF Brands Group”, a subsidiary of the company “Maus Frères SA”, through the acquisition of the remaining 50% of its share capital and related voting rights.

“Maus Frères SA” is a Swiss joint-stock company, with its registered office at 6 rue de Cornavin, 1201 Geneva, Switzerland, registered under number CHE-105.991.463. It holds interests in companies specializing in the distribution sector of manufacturing and selling ready-to-wear articles.

“Pentland Chaussures Limited” is a limited liability company under English law, with its registered office at 8 Manchester Square, London, W1U 3PH, United Kingdom, registered under number 01786360. It holds an exclusive global license granted by the Lacoste group for the design, development, creation, manufacturing, and supply of Lacoste shoes.
