Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “Rainer-Timber Handelsgesellschaft mbH” by the company “Dr Anna Bauther Gesellschaft mbH”

The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “Rainer-Timber Handelsgesellschaft mbH” by the company “Dr Anna Bauther Gesellschaft mbH” owned and controlled by the company “HS Timber Group GmbH” through the acquisition of 100% of its share capital and related voting rights.

“HS Timber Group GmbH” is an Austrian limited liability company (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung), with its registered office at Favoritenstraße 7/4, 1040 Vienna, Austria, registered with the Vienna Commercial Court (Handelsgericht Wien) under registration number FN 454385p. It is mainly active in the wood processing industry and also operates internationally in wood production, wood trading, and bioenergy production.

“Dr. Anna Bauther Gesellschaft mbH” is an Austrian limited liability company (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung), with its registered office at Favoritenstraße 7/4, 1040 Vienna, Austria, registered with the Vienna Commercial Court (Handelsgericht Wien) under registration number FN 90426 f. DABG, 100% owned by the company “HS Timber Group GmbH”. It is engaged in the trade of sawn softwood, with a commercial focus on the Middle East, North Africa (including Morocco), and East Africa.

“Rainer-Timber Handelsgesellschaft mbH” is an Austrian limited liability company (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung), with its registered office at Fresen 41, 8831 Niederwölz, registered with the Leoben Regional Court (Landesgericht Leoben) under registration number FN 33165 y. The target engages in sawn wood trading activities. Its operations consist of supplying and exporting sawn wood to importers and traders, including in Morocco.
