NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES

The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the creation of a joint venture between the company “Morocco-United Arab Emirates Development Company” (SOMED) and the company “BEEAH Environment Services Investment Limited” (BEEAH).

“Morocco-United Arab Emirates Development Company” is a Moroccan private holding company active in various sectors of the Moroccan economy, including education, real estate, leisure, industry, trade, and automotive. It also holds stakes in various portfolio companies. SOMED’s headquarters are located in Casablanca, Morocco.

“BEEAH Environment Services Investment Limited” is the investment vehicle of the BEEAH group, which is a public-private partnership active in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt in the waste management sector, holding stakes in various group companies. The BEEAH group’s headquarters are located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The joint venture will be engaged in the development, construction, ownership, and operation of advanced waste management infrastructure in Morocco.
