NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION

The Competition Council has received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the creation of a joint venture by the ‘Port Operating Company SA’ and the company ‘CMA Terminals SAS’.

‘Port Operating Company SA’ is a Moroccan joint stock company listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, with its headquarters in Casablanca. It is active in multi-trade port operations, with a presence in numerous commercial ports in Morocco, as well as in Benin at the port of Cotonou.

‘CMA Terminals SAS’ is a French simplified joint stock company, with its headquarters in Marseille, France. It is a 100% subsidiary of ‘CMA CGM SA’ and is engaged in the development, design, construction, and operation of container terminals.

The joint venture will focus on the development, equipment, operation, and maintenance of the container activity of the West Terminal at the Nador West Med port.
