Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the merger by absorption of the company “Cirsa Enterprises, S.A.” by the company “Lottomatica Group S.p.A.”

The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration project concerning the merger by absorption of the company “Cirsa Enterprises, S.A.” by the company “Lottomatica Group S.p.A.”, the latter being the acquiring company.

“Lottomatica Group S.p.A.” is an Italian joint-stock company, registered with the Rome Chamber of Commerce under number 11008400969, listed on the Euronext Milan market with a share capital of €10,000,000 and headquartered at Via degli Aldobrandeschi 300, Rome (Italy). “Lottomatica Group S.p.A.” operates in the market of gambling and betting services exclusively in Italy.

“Cirsa Enterprises, S.A.” is a Spanish public limited company, registered with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce under number B-618240, listed on the Spanish stock exchanges of Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Valencia through the Spanish automated trading system (Sistema de Interconexión Bursátil) with a share capital of €83,996,333.50, and with its registered office at Carretera de Castellar, 298 (Terrassa), Barcelona (Spain). “Cirsa Enterprises, S.A.” operates in the global gambling sector, including the operation of casinos, bingo halls, slot machines, and sports betting services, as well as the design, manufacture, and distribution of slot machines. In Morocco, this company controls three subsidiaries that operate casinos, namely the “Casino de Tanger” in Tangier, the “Casino Atlantic,” and the “Casino Le Mirage” in Agadir.
