The Competition Council has been notified of an economic concentration operation concerning the indirect joint control acquisition by the company “LyondellBasell Industries N.V.” of the company “National Petrochemical Industrial Company”, through the acquisition of 35% of its share capital and associated voting rights through the company “Basell International Holdings B.V.”.

“LyondellBasell Industries N.V.” is a Dutch public limited company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, which is the parent company holding the ultimate control of the LyondellBasell group.

“National Petrochemical Industrial Company” is a closed Saudi joint stock company established in Saudi Arabia with its head office located in the industrial city of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

“LyondellBasell Industries N.V.” and “National Petrochemical Industrial Company” are both active in Morocco in the sale of polypropylene resins.
