NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES
The Competition Council has received notification of a project of economic concentration concerning the acquisition by the company ‘Damane Cash SA’ of the asset elements of the company ‘Centre Monétique Interbancaire SA’ consisting of membership contracts of merchants related to the activity of monetary payments on (i) Electronic Payment Terminal ‘EPT’ and (ii) online via credit card (acquisition ‘PEL’ and Gateway E-Commerce ‘PSP’).
‘Damane Cash SA’ is a Moroccan joint stock company, with its registered office at 157 Avenue Hassan II, 20000 Casablanca, registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under number 342199. It is active in the electronic card payment market.
Target assets: contracts between merchants and ‘Centre Monétique Interbancaire SA’. The latter is a Moroccan joint stock company, with its registered office at 8, Avenue Moulay Rachid Casablanca, registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under number 107713. It is active in the field of studies and electronic payments.
