Press release regarding the meeting of the Competition Council Section – Held on Thursday, October 24, 2024

In accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of the internal regulations of the Competition Council, the Council Section held a meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 am, under the chairmanship of Mr. Adil BOUKBIR, Vice-President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigation services.

The section decided to authorize the following three economic concentration operations:

• Establishment of a joint venture, “Isopan S.p.A”, by “Marcegaglia Steel S.p.A” and “Manni Group S.p.A”;
• Project for the acquisition of exclusive control of the company “DS Smith Plc” by the company “International Paper Company”;
• Acquisition by the company “Starcin Holding France SAS”, a wholly-owned subsidiary of “Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA”, of the exclusive control of the companies “Fosroc Top One”, “Fosroc Top Two” and “Fosroc Supply FZE”, wholly-owned subsidiaries of the company “Fosroc Group Holdings Limited”, through the acquisition of 100% of their share capital and associated voting rights.
