Press release regarding the meeting of the Competition Council Section – held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024

In accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of the internal regulations of the Competition Council, the Council Section held a meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10 am, under the chairmanship of Mr. Adil Boukbir, Vice-President of the Competition Council, to examine the two cases submitted to it by the Council’s investigative services.

The Section then decided to authorize the following two economic concentration operations:

• taking exclusive control, through a lease-management contract, of the business of the company “Les Moulins de Zerhoun SA” by the company “Forafric Maroc SA”, through its subsidiary “Minoterie Epidor SA”;
• the joint control acquisition by the company “HOLMARCOM S.A.” and Mr. Mehdi Smires of the company “SCANDIMAR S.A.”, through the acquisition of 60% and 20% of its share capital and associated voting rights, respectively.
