Press release regarding the meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Competition Council

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 on the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 09:30, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigating services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on May 12, 2022.

The Permanent Commission then made decisions to authorize the following four economic concentration operations:

• • The acquisition of exclusive control of PartnerRe Ltd by Covéa Coopérations SA through the acquisition of its ordinary type ‘A’ shares representing 99% of its voting rights;
  • The acquisition, by Inspired Education Holding, of indirect joint control of Institution Khalil Jabrane through the acquisition of 83% of the capital and voting rights thereof;
  • The acquisition by ‘Hapag-Lloyd Aktiengesellschaft’ of assets and entities comprising the container transport and management business of DAL. ‘Deutsche Afrika Linien GmbH & Co.KG’;
  • The exclusive acquisition by Diaverum Holding France SAS of 100% of the share capital and voting rights of the companies ‘Centre de Néphrologie Hémodialyse de Meknès’ and ‘Centre d’Hémodialyse El Basma’.
