Press release regarding the meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Competition Council

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 on the Competition Council, as amended and supplemented, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 09:30, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigative services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on May 22, 2023. The Permanent Commission then made the following two decisions:

• • Grant a favorable response to the request made by Forafric Maroc S.A to benefit from the derogation provided for in the second paragraph of Article 14 of Law 104-12 on price freedom and competition, as amended and supplemented.
  • Authorize the economic concentration operation related to the joint control acquisition of the company « GD Activ Financière SARL », including its subsidiary « X offices System SA », by the fund « Valoris Equity fund » and the companies « AIKAD Groupe SARL » and « ASK Capital SARL », through the acquisition of all the share capital and associated voting rights.
