Press release regarding the meeting of the permanent commission of the Competition Council – Held on Monday, June 22, 2026

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 of the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission held a meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 09:30, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed REHHOU, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigation services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on June 8, 2026.

The Permanent Commission decided to authorize the following economic concentration operations:

• Takeover of exclusive control of the company “Varian Medical Systems Inc.” by the company “Siemens Healthineers AG”;
• Joint control of the company “KNDS NV” by the company “kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau” (KfW) alongside its historical shareholder, the company “GIAT Industries SASU”.

In addition, the Commission declared the operation concerning the exclusive control takeover of the company “Wafa Assurance Movie Theater Company SA” by the company “Marjane Holding SA” not subject to the notification requirement.
