Rabat, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 : The Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hellenic Competition Commission signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the headquarters of the Council in Rabat. This memorandum signed by Mr. Ahmed RAHHOU and Mr. Ioannis LIANOS, presidents of the two institutions, further strengthens the partnership relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hellenic Republic. Indeed, through this memorandum of understanding, the bilateral cooperation between the two bodies will optimize the institutional twinning framework concluded between the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco and a consortium composed of the Hellenic Competition Commission (Greece), the Competition and Consumer Protection Authority of Poland, and the Italian Competition Authority. The memorandum aims to promote cooperation in the areas of competition policy and law, develop exchanges in terms of knowledge and expertise regarding competition law regulation and jurisprudence, as well as exchange best practices related to procedural, methodological, and technical aspects of investigations, inquiries, and sectoral studies.
