The Competition Council launches the fourth edition of the research prize

In order to strengthen its ties with the academic community, the Competition Council awards an annual prize aimed at encouraging scientific research on economic and legal topics of clear interest to the Council, known as the “CC Research Prize”.

This Prize aims to reward efforts in analysis, innovation, and the formulation of recommendations in the fields of Economics, Management, and Competition Law, in relation to market competition.

Eligibility Criteria

This prize is open to researchers who meet the following requirements:

• Be of Moroccan nationality and hold a Doctoral or Master’s degree awarded by a Moroccan or foreign public university, or by a private university whose degrees are recognized by the Moroccan State;
• Be of foreign nationality and hold a Doctoral or Master’s degree awarded by a Moroccan or foreign public university, or by a private university whose degrees are recognized by the Moroccan State;
• Be the author of a Doctoral thesis or Master’s thesis defended within the three years preceding the application submission deadline.

 

Application documents

The required documents include:

• Curriculum vitae, together with supporting documents for the qualifications obtained;
• Duly completed participation form (downloadable from the Council’s website);
• Copy of the Doctoral or Master’s degree, or a certificate of successful completion of a Doctoral or Master’s program;
• Electronic copy of the research work;
• Summary of the research work;
• Presentation note on the research paper, highlighting its contribution to theoretical and/or practical knowledge in the fields of Economics, Management, and/or Competition Law.

Reward

The Council will award the following prizes to the three research papers selected by the jury:

• First Prize: Fifty thousand Dirhams;
• Second Prize: Twenty thousand Dirhams;
• Third Prize: Ten thousand Dirhams.
