The Competition Council launches the third edition of the research prize

In order to strengthen its ties with the academic world, the Competition Council awards an annual Prize aimed at encouraging scientific research on economic and legal topics of clear interest to the Council, called the ‘CC Research Prize’.

This Prize aims to reward efforts in analysis, innovation, and recommendation proposals in the fields of economics, management, and competition law, related to competition in the market.

Eligibility Criteria

This prize is open to researchers meeting the following conditions:

• Being of Moroccan nationality and holding a Doctorate or Master’s Degree from a Moroccan public or foreign university as well as from a private university whose degrees are recognized by the Moroccan State;
• Being of foreign nationality and holding a Doctorate or Master’s Degree from a Moroccan public university or a private university, whose degree is recognized by the Moroccan State;
• Being the author of a Doctoral Thesis or Master’s Thesis defended during the three years preceding the deadline for submitting applications.

 

Documents Required for the Application

The application file includes:

• Curriculum vitae, with proof of obtained degrees;
• Participation form, duly filled out (to be downloaded from the Council’s website);
• Copy of the Doctorate degree, Master’s degree, or attestation of successful completion of Doctorate or Master’s degree;
• Electronic copy of the research work;
• Summary of the research work;
• Presentation note of the research work, highlighting its contribution to theoretical and/or practical knowledge in economics, management, and/or competition law.

Reward

The Council will award the following three research works, selected by the jury, the three prizes:

• First Prize: Fifty thousand Dirhams;
• Second Prize: Twenty thousand Dirhams;
• Third Prize: Ten thousand Dirhams.
