Press release from the Competition Council regarding the economic concentration project concerning the exclusive takeover of the company “ED&F Man Commodities Limited” by the company “Hartree Partners LP” through the acquisition of 100% of the share capital and voting rights related thereto

In accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition and Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652 adopted for its implementation, as amended and supplemented, the Competition Council makes available to the public the “operation summary” below, containing information provided by the parties.

The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the exclusive takeover of the company “ED&F Man Commodities Limited” by the company “Hartree Partners LP” through the acquisition of 100% of the share capital and voting rights related thereto.

“Hartree Partners LP” is a US company headquartered in the state of Delaware. It is active in commodity trading and specializes in energy, renewable energies, metals, securities, and financial markets.

“ED&F Man Commodities Limited” is a UK company based in St Helier, Jersey, registered in the commercial register under number 130305. This company specializes in agricultural commodities, particularly coffee, sugar, molasses, and liquid products.
