Press release regarding the meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Competition Council – held on Thursday, December 19, 2024

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law No. 20-13 of the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission held a meeting on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 3:30 pm, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed RAHHOU, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigation services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the Minutes of its meeting held on December 16, 2024.

The Permanent Commission then made the decision to authorize:

• The economic concentration operation concerning the joint indirect control acquisition of the Essaouira Mogador Development Company ‘SAEMOG’ by ‘Al Nowais Real Estate LLC’ and ‘Eastern Investments LTD’ and Mr. Samih Onsi Naguib Sawiris through the acquisition of 100% of the share capital and associated voting rights, through ‘Orascom Investments LLC’;
• The withdrawal request regarding the notification file concerning the acquisition by Disway SA of 51% of the share capital and associated voting rights of Econosol SARL and the closure without further action of the related economic concentration operation.
