NON-CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF THE OPERATION PROVIDED BY THE PARTIES The Competition Council has received notification of a concentration project concerning the exclusive acquisition of the company “Placin Midco S.à.r.l” by “EW Group”, through the acquisition of 100% of its share capital and related voting rights.
EW Group is a limited liability company under German law and is an international family holding company with subsidiaries and interests in the life sciences sector. Placin Midco S.à.r.l is a limited liability company under Luxembourg law, active in the sectors of (i) development of new varieties of berries, garlic, asparagus, and stone fruits; (ii) nursery management to produce berry, endive, garlic, asparagus, and stone fruit plants/seeds; and (iii) the cultivation and sale of endives, asparagus, and increasingly berries and stone fruits.
