Press release regarding the meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Competition Council

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 on the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 09:30, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigation services.

At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on November 25, 2022.
The Permanent Commission then decided to authorize the following economic concentration operations:

• • Joint control of the company « TOTALENERGIES MARKETING EGYPT LLC » by the company « ABU DHABI NATIONAL OIL COMPANY FOR DISTRIBUTION P.J.S.C.. » through the acquisition of 50% of its share capital and associated voting rights;
  • Acquisition of exclusive control of the companies « Novatis SA », « Norsudex SA » and « Jeesr Industries SARL » by the company « Silent Believers Group SA »;
  • Acquisition by the Moroccan Therapeutics company « SOTHEMA SA » of joint control through a 40% equity stake and voting rights in the company « PRODIMEDIC SA »;
  • Acquisition of exclusive control of the company « STAFF DECOR S.A.S » by the company « ATELIERS DE FRANCE S.A.S », through the acquisition of 89.25% of its shares and related voting rights.
