The Permanent Commission of the Competition Council held its meeting, via videoconference, on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00, under the chairmanship of Mr. Driss Guerraoui, President of the Council.
After a thorough examination of the items on the agenda, the Permanent Commission made decisions to authorize four economic concentration operations, which have no effects on competition in the relevant markets. The decisions concern the following operations:

- The acquisition of the company “Dislog Food” of 100% of the shares of the company “Fater Moroco”;
- The exclusive control by the company “Snetor S.A.S” of the shares and voting rights pertaining to the company “Gazechim Plastiques S.A.S”;
- The acquisition by the company “Spiril Aero Système, Inc” of 100% of the capital and voting rights of the companies “Short Brothees PLC” and “Bombardier Aerospace North Africa”, and of certain aerostructures assets belonging to the company “Bombardier Inc”, including maintenance entities in the United States of America;
- The exclusive control by the group “Snetor” of the capital and voting rights pertaining to the company “Tecnopol S.p.a”.

Furthermore, the President of the Council informed the members of the Permanent Commission of the meeting he held, in the presence of the Secretary General and the Director of Studies, with the person in charge of the consulting company responsible for carrying out the opinion survey on competition perception. A detailed briefing note regarding this important project for the Council will be the subject of a workshop in which all Council members will participate. The objective of this workshop is to gather the observations and recommendations of the Council members with a view to enriching the final version of the briefing note concerning this opinion survey.
The second point of information concerned the meeting held, in the presence of the Secretary General and the person in charge of the National and International Partnership Unit, regarding the two training sessions that will be organized, as part of the cooperation with the World Bank Group, for the benefit of the Council’s rapporteurs. These two sessions will focus on the simplified procedures of economic concentrations, as currently practiced by many National Competition Authorities around the World.
Furthermore, the Permanent Commission approved the inclusion on the agenda of the 7th ordinary session of the Plenary Assembly scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2020, amending certain articles of the Council’s Internal Regulations.
