The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the indirect exclusive control acquisition by the company “Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited”, through the company “Sun Pharma America Inc.”, of the company “Organon & Co.”, by acquiring 100% of its share capital and related voting rights.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a limited liability company under Indian law, headquartered at SPARC, Tandalja, Vadodara – 390 012, Gujarat, India. It specializes in generics, is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited (NSE: SUNPHARMA, BSE: 524715). Its portfolio covers cardiology, psychiatry, neurology, gastroenterology, and dermatology, including generics, branded generics, specialized and complex products, over-the-counter drugs, antiretrovirals, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Sun Pharma also has a segment dedicated to innovative drugs.
