In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 20-13 on the Competition Council, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigating services.
At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on March 29, 2021.
The Permanent Commission then made decisions to authorize the following two economic concentration operations:

- The exclusive control by the company Nouvelles Sidérurgies Industrielles SA through the acquisition of 99.04% of the share capital and voting rights of the company Longometal Afrique SA;
- The exclusive control by Iron Mountain International (Holdings) limited (UK) through the acquisition of all the share capital and voting rights of the company Archivex SA.

Furthermore, the Permanent Commission declared inadmissible, due to lack of standing, the request for an opinion from the provincial secretariat of the democratic organization of artisanal maritime fishing in Sidi Ifni, regarding the obligation of the first sales of fish, carried out by certain artisanal vessels of the “Souilkate” sardine type, to pass through the fish markets reserved for this activity at the port of Sidi Ifni.
