Rabat, May 21, 2026 – The Competition Council organized, in partnership with the Moroccan Circle of Competition Law Practitioners (CMPDC), a meeting dedicated to strengthening exchanges around the challenges related to the application of competition rules and the evolution of markets.
This initiative is part of a continuous dynamic of dialogue and consultation with competition law practitioners, aiming to consolidate the bridges between professional practice and institutional action.
The meeting was a privileged opportunity for consultation and exchanges, allowing the sharing of analyses from field experience, deepening the understanding of the state of competition in various economic sectors, and putting into perspective the operational realities encountered in handling cases.
Discussions focused on three main themes:
- experience feedback and improvement paths of the guidelines related to economic concentrations;
- the Competition Council’s draft guidelines on horizontal cooperation agreements between competitors;
- the draft charter on procedures for searches in the context of inspection and seizure operations.
This meeting also allowed for gathering practitioners’ observations and recommendations, with the aim of enriching existing references and consolidating best practices in competition law.
The Competition Council reaffirms, through this initiative, its commitment to a participative and inclusive approach, based on listening to practice actors and the continuous improvement of the national competitive framework.
