Participation of the President of the Competition Council, Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, in the 9th United Nations Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection.
On the occasion of the 9th United Nations Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection, held in Geneva from July 7 to 11, 2025, the President of the Competition Council, Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, presented Moroccan expertise in regulating agri-food chains. He highlighted Morocco’s efforts to improve price transparency, distribution efficiency, and remove barriers to competition through several sectoral studies. Mr. Rahhou also emphasized Morocco’s strategic role in fruit and vegetable production and export, as well as its involvement in African initiatives such as the Atlantic Initiative and South-South cooperation. The investigation and inquiry services of the Competition Council carried out unannounced inspection and seizure operations on June 24, 2025, at two companies suspected of implementing anti-competitive practices in the financial and accounting audit market and related markets.
