The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the joint takeover of the company “Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A” by the company “Deutsche Lufthansa AG”, through the acquisition of 41% of its share capital accompanied by additional governance rights, from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Italian Republic.

“Deutsche Lufthansa AG” is a German company, registered in the commercial register of the Local Court of Cologne under number HRB 2168 and headquartered at Venloer Strasse 151-153, 50672 Cologne, Germany. The company provides passenger air transport services, freight services, and related services.

“Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A.” is an Italian joint-stock company, registered in the companies register of Rome under number RM-1622937 and with its headquarters at Via XX Settembre, 97, Rome, Italy, 00187. The company operates in the field of passenger and cargo air transport services.
