The Permanent Commission of the Competition Council held its meeting, via videoconference, on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 10:00 am, under the chairmanship of Mr. Driss GUERRAOUI, President of the Council.
After a thorough examination of the first item on the agenda of this meeting, the members of the Permanent Commission decided to authorize the economic concentration operation, involving the acquisition by the Company «Poly One Corporation» of all the shares making up the share capital of the Company «Clariant Plastics & Coatings AG» and other assets dedicated to the masterbatch activity of «Clariant AG», given that this operation will not have a negative impact on the competition situation in the relevant market.
The Permanent Commission, secondly, examined and made decisions of inadmissibility concerning the following files:

- The request for an opinion submitted to the Council by the Association of Intermediaries and Entrepreneurs in Insurance, regarding what it described as the «illegality of banks in the sale and marketing of life insurance contracts»;
- The complaint filed by the Company «Aspimedical» concerning the 4 tenders opened by the Regional Hospital Center of Marrakech, regarding the preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices and equipment;
- The referral made by Mr. Himmi Himmi regarding the state of competition in the capital market.

At the end of the work of this meeting, Mr. The President congratulated Mr. the Secretary General, the General Reporter, and the Deputy General Reporter, for the efforts made in preparing the document that served as the basis for the elaboration of the Circular Note on the procedures for the examination of economic concentration files, in accordance with the decision taken at the meeting of the Permanent Commission on March 16, 2020.
It should be noted that the Permanent Commission had previously approved the minutes of its meeting held on March 27, 2020.
