In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law No. 20-13 on the Competition Council, as amended and supplemented, the Permanent Commission of the Council held a meeting on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 09:30, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Rahhou, President of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to it by the Council’s investigative services.
At the beginning of its work, the Permanent Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on March 27, 2026.
The Permanent Commission then decided to authorize the following economic concentration operations:
- The joint control acquisition by the companies “Nareva Holding SA” and “Taqa Morocco SA” of the company “Energie Electrique de Tahaddart” and the creation of the joint venture “Tahaddart 2 & 3”;
- The establishment by the companies “Nareva Holding SA” and “Taqa Morocco SA” of two joint ventures, the “Renewable Energy JV” and the “HVDC JV”;
- The establishment by the companies “Nareva Holding SA” and “Taqa Morocco SA” of several joint ventures, the “Renewable Energy JVs”, the “Desalination JVs”, and the “Water Transport JVs”.
The Permanent Commission also decided to take up ex officio the failure to notify the Competition Council of an economic concentration operation, in accordance with the first paragraph of Articles 12 and 14 of Law No. 104-12 on price freedom and competition, as amended and supplemented.
