Rabat, February 12, 2026.

The Competition Council and the International University of Rabat (UIR) have signed a framework partnership agreement aimed at strengthening their institutional cooperation in the fields of training, scientific research, and the promotion of a culture of competition.

This agreement is part of a dynamic of bringing together regulatory institutions and the academic world, with the objective of consolidating transparency and fairness in economic relations and promoting a better understanding of the issues related to competition law, economics, and governance.

Through this partnership, the two parties commit in particular to:

  • promote a culture of competition and raise awareness of the principles of competition law and economics;
  • encourage and support scientific research by proposing themes and participating in the evaluation of academic work;
  • contribute to the development of university training offerings by introducing specialized modules;
  • enable teachers and student-researchers to better understand the role, missions, and practices of the Competition Council.

The agreement also provides for the conclusion of specific agreements with the universities concerned, as well as mechanisms for coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the actions undertaken.

This partnership reflects the shared desire of the Competition Council and the UIR to create lasting synergies between economic regulation and academic excellence, serving the development of a healthy competitive environment and a more efficient economy.
