The Competition Council contributed to the work of the first annual meeting of the Arab Competition Network, organized in Cairo under the auspices of the Arab League in March 2022. This meeting was marked by the creation of the network, which is composed of three working groups. The Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco chairs the group responsible for mergers and acquisitions, while the Competition Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia chairs the group responsible for enforcing competition protection laws and the Competition Protection Authority of Egypt leads the group responsible for the effectiveness of Competition Authorities.
