The Competition Council received notification of an economic concentration operation concerning the acquisition of exclusive control by the company “Covestro AG” through the companies “Covestro Deutschland AG” and MS Holding B.V.”, of the resin and functional materials activities of the company “Koninklijke DSM N.V.”.

Covestro AG is a German public limited company listed on the stock exchange, headquartered in Leverkusen (Germany), registered in the commercial register of the local court of Cologne under number HRB 85281. Covestro AG is a producer of chemicals focusing on the supply of high-performance polymer materials and solutions.

Covestro Deutschland AG is a German public limited company, headquartered at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Allee 60, 51373 Leverkusen (Germany), registered in the commercial register of the local court of Cologne under number HRB 49892. The company is active in the production and development of high-performance materials and intermediate inputs used in coatings, adhesives, elastomers, and polymer resin production.

MS Holding B.V. is a Dutch limited liability company, headquartered at Ratelaar 39 F, 3434 EW, Nieuwegein, Netherlands, registered in the Dutch commercial register under number 62059459. The company acts as a holding company within the Covestro group.

Koninklijke DSM N.V. is a Dutch public limited company, registered in the commercial register under number 14022069 and headquartered at Het Overloon 1,6411 TE Heerlen, Netherlands. The company is active in several areas including health, nutrition, technical materials, and specialty chemicals.
